Now for a tip. So many people call us trying to figure out how much colored sand to put in a vase or jar. Here is what you do. Take a 1 cup measuring cup and add water to the container. Fill it to the level you would like the sand to be at. For each cup of water that you put in you will need 1 pound of sand. It really is that easy! 1 cup of water is approximately 1 lb of sand.
